Competition Rules

Event Details:

 

• The weigh in will take place on Sunday the 2nd of June 2024 at the Gem Hotel Arena located at 287 Stapylton Jacobs Well Rd Alberton 4207.


• Fishing for this event commences at 5.00pm AEST on Friday the 31st of May
2024 and concludes at 10.00am AEST on Sunday the 2nd of June 2024. No registration is required prior to commencement of fishing.

• The weigh in will be held between 11.00am and 1.00pm sharp. Competitors must be in line by 1.00pm to be eligible to weigh in.


• Fishing boundaries extend from Potts Point, Macleay Island to the Nerang
River as per the map belong. Fishing in land locked lakes, creeks and dams is prohibited as is offshore fishing. Fishing from the beach is permitted.

• To successfully claim any prizes won, entrants must be present with their ticket
to claim otherwise the prize/s will be redrawn.


• The boat packages will be the last draw of the day. Once drawn the winning
entrant will have a 1
 minute time frame to come forward and claim their
prize. Should the prize not be claimed within the 1 minute time frame it will be
redrawn.


• Lucky random draws will be conducted throughout the day starting at
10.30am.


• Fish species eligible to be weighed in are Bream, Whiting, Flathead, Jew and
Tailor. PLEASE NOTE: ALL FLATHEAD ARE TO BE A MINIMUM OF 40CM AND
MAXMUM OF 70CM.

Entry Requirements:


• All competitors must enter via the website at www.kingofthepin.com.au.
Entries will close at 11.59pm AEST, Thursday the 30th of May 2024.
• Adult entries are $40.00 per entrant and children’s entries (15 years and
under) are $15.00 per entrant.
 Please note, booking fees apply.

  • Only 1 registration ticket may be purchased by each entrant. Multiple tickets purchased using the same name will not be permitted, additional tickets with the same name other than the original will not be added to the prize draw barrel.

Weigh-In Requirements:


• The person in control of the fishing rod or hand line at the time the fish is
landed is the only person eligible to weigh in that fish.


• Participating entrants must present their printed or digital ticket when
weighing in fish.


• Entrants are permitted to weigh in only one fish per nominated species.


• All fish must be gutted and gilled prior to being weighed. Row can be left in.


• No frozen, damaged, or mutilated fish will be weighed.


• If two fish of the same species and weight are weighed in, the entrant who 
weighed in first will be entitled to any prizes that fish receives.​​

•The weigh in judges reserve the right to inspect any fish weighed in as they see fit which may include a full inspection.

​

• The judges decision is final - no negotiations will be entered into.

Prize Claiming requirements:

​

• Spectators are not eligible for any prize draws. Separate raffles will be held on the day which will require payment at point of sale.


• Entrants must present a printed or digital copy of their ticket AND photograph
identification to claim any major prizes.
